This may not be wise. I see that at least some of the pictures involve jumping over fires. Stillwater Thrifties are acrylic and are HIGHLY FLAMMABLE!

Well that was amazing. A lot harder than I expected but such a fun day. The kilts were well received; there were quite a few of them and most were worn with the pleats at the back! I'm on my way home and the bag containing kilt and a few sundry items weighs maybe 30 pounds! I took a lot of mud home with me.

Good grief, man - you're likely washable, but of what material is the kilt made?

Acrylic. It's a Stillwater Economy and it's no worse for wear!

It's certainly a good time! Were there many kilties? i saw a couple of dozen; most of whom had their pleats facing the rear!

There were quite a few kilties running. One guy I was talking to waiting to get hosed off said he is a regular kilt wearer. I cant wait to run another one. Running the course with a stress fracture was not the most enjoyable thing I have ever done!

I am doing the one in New York in two weeks as well. I will not be kilted during the race itself but I will be after!
