Have to be quick in this business, they are in great demand and obviously someone else was looking at the same time I was.

Too right. It said "Add to cart", when I started to look at the pictures. Went back to the main ad and it was "SOLD". If only I had read your post five minutes earlier!

For those that are interested in these sporrans, this is what you can expect for GBP85.00 and more, much more

This one looks very straight and the belt attachments don't appear to be bent or out of shape, all the rivets appear to still be intact and in my opinion was at a very good price

Does anyone have any idea what the brass button on the front was/is for? I thought badge at first, but that is not the way the army used to secure badges - with just one pin/fixing. So now I am stumped.

    Regards

Hi Chas, I have seen 3 of these original bags and they all have had a makers single hole on the front of them. The bags have also have had additional holes either side or above the original hole but obviously not done at the time of manufacture. One bag I viewed had a thistle badge attached to it by means of a post and screw going through the oringinal hole.

The bag in the photo I think has one of those old fashioned brass paper clips? which you used to push through the paper and butterfly out the back legs of it. Can't explain why it's in this bag though
