I will add that if Andrew and Ian weren't at sea with the Coast Guard, we would have had two Scots with us until the end.
Oh, come on! There was a Scott there with you until 10:30. I had to relieve my babysitters, or I would have stayed longer. Andrew and Ian will both be back for the March Kilts night, and will both be in prime form I'm sure.
come on admit it.
it was yoyr round and you scarpered
Hold on there, Phil.
Colin and the Kilts Night Regulars have plied me with Bushmills and not let me pay too many nights for me to let that one go by!
I know you're just kidding but, truth be told, there ain't a cheap guy in the bunch.
Besides, Colin is a big dude, but Andrew is 6' 7". His little brother is 6' 4". Nobody would dare to try to skip out on their round!

Bushmills? Geez Bear, I thought we were buying you bar whisky! Next your going to tell me all our pints weren't Coors light.
Just Kidding! Only the best for Kilts night regulars.

Hey, be careful of Coors Light. When I run out of Guinness, I have to drink Coors Light. Not to mention, it's brewed only 20 minutes away from my house! Okey, so it's not the best.
Cheers,
Allen

I'm not really knocking Coors light. I enjoy one on those occasions when I don't feel like drinking beer.

Any drink that contains the hops and barley is a good drink.
Q. What's the best beer in the World?
A. Free!
Cheers,
Allen
P.S. I know you're not knocking it. I am, though.

Here's on I always have an file:
After the Great Britain Beer Festival, in London, all the
brewery presidents decided to go out for a beer.
The guy
from Corona sits down and says, "Hey Senor, I would like the
world's best beer, a Corona." The bartender dusts off a
bottle from the shelf and gives it to him.
The guy from
Budweiser says, "I'd like the best beer in the world, give me
'The King Of Beers', a Budweiser." The bartender gives him
one.
The guy from Coors says, "I'd like the only beer
made with Rocky Mountain spring water, give me a Coors." He
gets it.
The guy from Guinness sits down and says, "Give
me a Coke." The bartender is a little taken aback, but gives
him what he ordered.
The other brewery presidents look
over at him and ask "Why aren't you drinking a Guinness?" and
the Guinness president replies, "Well, I figured if you guys
aren't drinking beer, neither would I."

I've been doing genealogy work for a few years. Though I'm not closed to being finished, I have found my American heritage is truly 300 years. Beyond that, I've found my paternal lines to be Scots, Irish and English and my maternal side as French, Dutch and German.
What is interesting is my paternal ancestry leads to several Scottish and Irish clans. My lines are 'septs' of the clans. In other words, though my lines are not blood, if you will, to a specific clan, my families were under the protectorate of these clans, which by right allows the protected family to wear the tartan.
I was concerned as well over the legitimacy or proper right to wear the tartan. I asked a Clan Ewing member regarding this and the ultimate answer is, in todays world it's not a problem. There is no fast and hard rule that says you must wear a specific tartan or can't wear the tartan based on your heritage.
It's extremely cool, historically speaking, if you have that connection to a particular clan and wear their tartan, but it's just as cool, to wear any tartan/kilt you desire.
And now I know why I like beer, bagpipes and a cool breeze!

Colin, I know that joke, it's a good one and there's nothing like a Guinness! (even better in Dublin)
Ambrose, nice to see you here, thanks for sharing, and of course you will find us in agreement with your sentiments.
It's nice too to have this mutual encouragement, esp. for us in isolated areas.
But I am finding that my excitement for the kilt is spreading to others. Three people close to me have ordered kilts in the last week.

But it has to be from the brewery in St. James Well. Great little pub inside there.
