Thanks for posting those pics Standard. Looking forward to seeing the others. Also just checking if you have had chance to move the scarf on to its next destination yet. We will soon be in Sept and the scarf still has a long way to go in the States and Canada before circumnavigating the rest of the world.
I guess there will be about 39 ish xmarkers still on the list to go.
Glad to see the scarf enjoying itself and being well looked after and spoilt.

Beautiful area there. Now, be sure you visit the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, come back through Colorado Springs and visit the Garden of the Gods, up through Denver and have a wee nip with all the XMarks members here before you head across either Kansas or Nebraska to get back to Illinois. Do let us know so that we can enjoy that nip with you.
I hate to give away the next destination of the wee scarf, but I am still awaiting a reply from either Beloitpiper, Beertigger, or the KiltedKnome. If any of you are on please post me a PM so that I can forward the wee scarf on it's way. It's anxious to be moving along as it has a long way left to travel.

Here are a few photos of the wee scarf's recent travels in the western United States that I thought you all might like.
This is the National Park area that my son is doing his internship with this fall teaching environmental education to the grade school kids in the area. This park is just east of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. This is me and my wife.
While in Gunnison, Colorado we saw some amazing tree carvings. The wee scarf thought this photo would be a good show of friendship. This is me and my daughter.
A big bike race came through town called the Mountain Challenge. 137 of the to riders in the world, including the top 3 of the Tour De France were in the race through the mountains of Colorado. This day's race was from Salida, up over Monarch Pass through Gunnison to Crested Butte.
One more for LitTrog's wife a view of the Gunnison "W" Mountain.
More to come!
