    ***. Unless I wore the kilt as everyday dress I, personally, wouldn't wear it to this kind of service. YMMV, but I just don't see any reasonable nexus between the Scottish Highlands and a memorial service for those who died in 9/11. I think it would draw attention to you and away from the purpose of the memorial.

    Yes, as you wear the kilt to Mass every Sunday, do as David suggests, and wear it as per normal. Please save the miniature medals, though, for evening black or white tie events, and not for day wear.
