The scarf is still in transit from Standard. Given the long weekend, I am expecting it next week.

I know you are too polite to rattle some cages, but I am not so...
I DO HOPE THAT FOLKS GET BACK TO THE ORIGINAL INTENT OF HAVING THE SCARF SEE AS MANY DIFFERENT MEMBERS AS POSSIBLE IN THE LIMITED TIME ALLOTTED, AND AVOID THE TEMPTATION TO KEEP THE SCARF FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD SO AS TO GET JUST THE RIGHT, OR THE MOST, OR THE BEST, OR...PHOTOS. THIS IS A VERY TIME SPECIFIC ENDEAVOR. IF YOU CAN NOT AGREE TO GETTING THE SCARF OFF TO THE NEXT MEMBER WITHIN TWO OR THREE DAYS PERHAPS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER PASSING ON RECEIVING IT. Thank you.
I now return you to your original poster.
Best regards and hopes for a return to a speedy scarf journey,
Brooke
It would help immensly if when contacted about hosting the scarf that folks would reply back promptly too. I attempted to contact 3 members before actually getting a reply from the KiltedKnome at which time I sent it off post haste. The wee scarf has a long way to travel before finally landing back in the lap of Derek in time for his event.

Standard, not only did you post great pictures, but I also congratulate you on the appropriateness of your attire.

As someone who regularly sends and receives mail between the US and Canada I can attest that there is a delay due to the border. The holiday in both countries yesterday would only add to that.
Judging by the number of people on the list when I had it and the number that keep asking to be added I seriously doubt it will make it to everyone before the due date it has to be back in the UK.

The scarf is on its way to me -- in British Columbia. Steve and I are on the look-out for it and, if I am out of town when it arrives, Steve will fill out the book and take a photo, and ship it post haste to Mael in Virginia in time for the Welsh Games -- September 24. Would others that want the scarf please contact Mael so he knows who to send it to afterwards.

Just a heads-up, Mael is leaving for Scotland on Fri. Too bad he didn't have it last week-end for the VA Scotish Games 2011 Pix (see that thread for the photos). Sorry, I don't know how to post a link to that thread.

I know that he is taking off, but he has told me that someone will be at his home to receive the scarf when it is shipped there.

I'm pleased to know that you were aware of his trip and the possibility of Mael not being home for the scarf's arrival.

Right! After Friday, 9/9 I'm away till Friday, 9/23 . The Welsh Festival is the next day, Saturday 9/24. My wife Sharon will be home taking care of the kids.
So, he only needs to arrive near Friday,9/24 and I'll have him on his way the following Monday. In those two weeks he can wander as I will be!
But if it is not a pratical stopover, I'm sure where ever he goes, he will have a good time!

Wow .. the scarf is definitely having a grand time out in the big wide world.
KiltedKnome ... Perhaps you could send it to one more member (close to Mael), before he returns from Scotland. If that person then could make sure it gets to Mael a few days before he returns, I would think all would be well and an extra member will get to host the scarf. Just a thought.
In the meantime I am thankful the scarf has been found again. Me and the wife took off to try and find it last week.lol,
Thanks again everyone for your participation,
