It looks like the misses and I should be there both days.

Richard
you are always in trouble.
Farlander, seems you and I might be related....Ha Good thing because I am a much better kilt maker now then when you met me.

We'll be there
My family and I will be there all day Saturday and Sunday. I'll be in the colorguard for the opening and closing ceremonies and plan to be there for the picture as well.

Can anybody recommend good restaurants there in the Pleasanton area?
A BBQ rib place?
And is there a good (northern) Indian restaurant? Especially with a dinner buffet? We went to one Indian place in Pleasanton one year and it was a disappointment.
See y'all up there! Richard

Don't know about Pleasanton, but if you want to head up the road a bit, try Bombay Indian in Walnut Creek on Main street.
I'm not aware of any Indian restaurants with a dinner buffet, that's usually a lunch thing.

Brooke (and any other members interested)...we would love to make dinner plans for Saturday (OC Richard...don't think my family would do Indian though...I have a bunch of picky eaters). I'll send you a PM.

Pleasanton is not really known for its food. Fremont is actually getting known for its Indian food, and is not too far away. If you want something close, check out:
India Garden
210 Rose Ave.
Pleasanton CA
Rose Ave. is in the downtown area, just blocks from the Fair Grounds. You could walk to there if you were up for it. India Garden is a little pricey, but tasty. (sorry, no dinner buffet)

Thanks!
In the end, my bandmates wanted to go to Outback for dinner anyhow... they're not addicted to Indian food like I am.
I had a great weekend. Our band had its debut, which went OK, and we had a ton of fun as always.
I've been attending these Games since the late 1970s and I still look forward to them like a kid looks forward to Christmas.
See y'all next year! Richard
