Re: What should I do? I ordered from Clansmen Knitwaer
There does come, however, a point past which the credit card companies cannot be of help. I hope you're not past it. 90 days for the card that got the attention of my kiltmaker who didn't return my E-mails.
In future, I'm using a reputable kiltmaker, Xmarks advertiser, who lives within driving distance. Actually, I have an appointment to see him this week. Now, this is not for my main tank, so whatever time it takes... it takes, but I trust him utterly.

Good luck to you!
I used this very tactic when I ordered a Doublet. It should have been an off-the-rack order filled quickly, so after a few months of no jacket and no returned calls or emails, I stopped payment on my card. Not surprisingly, things began moving once the other partly learned he was about $400 short. There were no extenuating circumstances, just an **** of a shop owner procrastinating.
Father Bill's advice is tremendous: find a local kiltmaker! I know our local kiltmakers personally: a circumstance that has afforded me a certain amount of influence on the final product. Certainly far more than I've ever been able to bring to bear with a Scottish shop. Something about thousands of miles of separation...

Re: What should I do? I ordered from Clansmen Knitwaer
Middle of the year is always a busy time for kilt makers in Scotland due to the demand from weddings. When I ordered a kilt for my son in May, I was told it would take until August to be ready due to this high demand, the kilt was ready first week of August and they telephoned to say come for final fitting........unfortunately it appears not all kiltmakers are the same.
Hope you get the situation sorted out soon.

Here is what Ralph's idea of a sgian dubh is, or at least was back in 2004. I doubt that he has gotten any smarter, or better.

Can you imagine sticking that in the top of your hose?

That kinda looks like a knife I bought at Disney more than a decade ago on a whim. It was cheap and looked kinda cool but even as a kid I would never have actually used the thing or taken it seriously.

Re: What should I do? I ordered from Clansmen Knitwaer
Finnally, I got my two kilts ,fly plaid and fl;ashes from Clansmen Knitwear.
But still waiting on the Material I bought.
It was wild ,I e-mail him and reminded him that the Ferguson AGM was this week end and He Fedex them to me the next day?
The Kilts were $69.00 and they looked good for $69.00 but only $69.00
I would not buy another onr for them as they are cheap kilts But that is what I bought.
Just glad to have gotten them.

I'm glad you got them at last Thomas, and in time
All's well that ends well or so they say. But I doubt I would buy from them after this so I'm not surprised you won't
