Re: Guinness and Velvet
The Guinness and Velvet does sound tasty. Although I still enjoy, if Im going to mix my drinks, Guinness and a good Irish Whiskey. I do enjoy certain beers and scotch that just seem to pair well. My favorite is usually something I enjoy in the cold of winter when the oysters are in season. A few dozen raw oysters on the shell, or even in shell because Im pretty good at getting to them, a glass full of cellar temp Old Rasputin Imperial Stout and a rocks glass with three fingers of Lagavulin. My preference is to be sitting out in the cold by a fire, a box of oysters and oyster knife in hand and these fine beverages to quaff as I eat my fill of oysters......
