Who plays in a Band? Post yer site?
I kind of asked this in another thread, but it was off the topic, so here goes.
How many of you guys are Pipers? Drummers? Ok, even Drum Majors? or just help with a band?
Lets have yer allegiances/memberships please? Does your band have a site? post the link?
Presently, I'm
http://www.sdcpb.com/ Shotts and Dykehead
and
http://www.scotsguardspiping.co.uk/ Scots Guards Pipers Association (served 2nd Batt 1980 - 86)
No point in listing all my Ex - bands, I would have liked to include Strathclyde Polices' Site, but its down and unlikely to be back up. Was there 1994 - 2000, and 2004 - 2008.
Tartan for Shotts is Maclean of Duart. Guards is Royal Stuart, as is Strathpol, although the Police tartan is a strange, almost orange sett. Also instructing 6th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland, who just now have the old 52nd Lowland Red Erskine, but will change shortly to RRS Government tartan

Thanks.
I love finding bands that are new to me. Going to spend a while looking at your site!
... I love the idea of the members handbook, great thinking. I think we assume too much that new members kind of know what is expected of them.
Thanks

Thanks. Tried to see you guys at the worlds, but what with having to qualify this year for the first time, time didnt allow it. Knew you were coming, and was looking forward to it. Maybe next year??

I played the DM for one parade, not very good at it, but am going to do a lot of reading up on it so i can do my band proud.
Just a piping student as of now, and hope to be piping next year for the busy season..
