    Gift to The Thrift Store

Drove down to the Idaho Youth Ranch thrift store and dropped off all of my pants (except for my suit pants which I'm keeping for sentimental reasons as I got married in them). I took the trash bag full into the Youth ranch while wearing the Kilt my wife made for me this Christmas. I entered the donation area and the lady was preoccupied, collecting some books off the floor. After a minute, I said, "Is it okay if I leave this here."

She looked up at me, startled and said, "I'm sorry I didn't notice you." It's not too often that a 6'3", 340 pound man in a kilt heres that.

The main point is that the donation was accepted.

Yeah, I've been pretty much for the past six months. Work's okay with it and so is everyone else.

Good move! I chucked most of mine out and won't be buying any more.

I do make an exception of several pairs of shorts (the next best thing to a kilt) and a pair of old overalls for really dirty work.

On the weekend I was working in the bush cutting a large tree up with a chainsaw. I thought of wearing a kilt, but nah, too rough even for poly viscose.
