    Re: What's the most "interesting" beer you've ever tasted?

    The worst beer I ever tasted was "Chili Beer" made with real peppers. The stuff was so hot, I was unable to drink more than a couple of sips. The best beer I ever had was from a now closed Brewery called The Prior Brewery in Pennsylvannia. They made a "Prior Dark" that was outstanding.

    This stuff is pretty... errr... interesting. Let's say it's an acquired taste.

    Re: What's the most "interesting" beer you've ever tasted?

    It's hard to decide. Right now I'm going to have to go with the oak-aged beers from Innis & Gunn (from Edinburgh). I can get these in Halifax, NS (The blonde, regular, IPA, Highland cask, Canada day version)... I usually get the regular.

    There's just something really interesting (in a good way) about the mix of tastes in these oak-aged beers. I always savour them but I don't want more than one at any time.

    Another really great interesting beer is the "Ol' Fog Burner" from a local small brewery (Garrison) ... this is termed a 'barley wine' and was 11.3% and had a really warm feel to it.

    a lot of what the brewdog boys make could be termed interesting but I've currently got a bottle of this just waiting to be drunk;

    Re: What's the most "interesting" beer you've ever tasted?

    I've had a lot of "interesting" good beers over the years, but the most "interesting" bad beer I've experienced recently was something called Bengali IPA. I found it to be so overly hopped as to be undrinkable. (Of course, after I pushed it away, a woman at our table had no trouble guzzling it down. Ick...!)

    La Noche Buena - Christmas beer from Dos Equis.

    First sips are like drinking fire sprinkler water, then it becomes succulent...never had more than 12 at once...

    Re: What's the most "interesting" beer you've ever tasted?

    Several years ago a group of us had what might be termed a "strange ale & stout party" where people brought the oddest things they could find.

    There were all kinds of ales and stouts made with various berries, chocolate, coffee, and what not.

    They were all "interesting" but I didn't, with any of them, say "wow! This is great! I could drink this all the time!"
