You could expect to see plenty of kilted men out and about in Scotland on a Saturday when there are rugby and soccer matches and weddings being held, or for attending church on a Sunday, less so during the weekdays, I am one of a small minority who wears the kilt almost daily. Since retiring from my profession (I was a lawyer and in my later years in the profession I often wore a black kilt in court) I now do some part-time driving work. I wear black trousers for driving service buses or a kilt for private hire work.
I very rarely wear the full formal outfit with the cap and badge, generally only for highland games or for hosting members of my clan society, as others have said it is bad form to dress such as to draw attention to yourself.
