What's the story on the huge hairy sporrans

I take a middle road when it comes to the "hairy sporrans." I like the somewhat ragged, unkempt look previously mentioned, but not the full length of the horse-haired versions. Here's one I have in Highland cow hair:

As regulars here know, I've taken to wearing an Edwardian goathair sporran on all occasions, for example with a charcoal jacket



and with tweed



I like bringing back a tad of the panache of the old days. Besides looking great, this sporran is extremely roomy.

I am not overly fond of horsehair sporrans (although I do like to see them with full WW1 and WW2 kilt kits), and I just don't have the heart to actually wear a full mask sporran. I feel no great need to own a fur sporran of any kind...but I really like the "Cousin It" sporran, Brian! I may have to put one of those on my wish list. Perhaps you might start another thread and do a proper review of it for us?

These I like! They have some character to them, rather than looking like a generic 60's flower child haircut.

These are example of the type of long hair sporran that I am hoping to someday make for myself.
