Seems that one of the companies selling miniscule pieces of Scottish land have created a tartan so you can now spend even more money!

Did you notice that the scam is being run by an off-shore (Channel Isles) company.

I'm not convinced by the design either. Pale yellow running across a light-mid blue doesn't look good to my eye.

    Re: Buy Land, Get Tartan!

Greetings from the Laird of Kincavel. My daughter bought it for my 50th birthday.

I think I own one square meter of land on the estate but can't get to is because there are hundreds of others whose land I have to cross to get there. Should I apply for planning permission to build a kennel on it?

    Re: Buy Land, Get Tartan!

I wrote to them last year and challenged their claims about conservation. I asked for some evidence, before I made my purchase, of work done or in hand; numbers of trees (and species) planted and to who's recommendation. I asked a lot of questions and if they had lied to me there was no way I could have verified anything. In truth, they could have taken a picture of a tree in the carpark and I would not have been the wiser.

In stead of that they chose to win me over be with a tirade of abuse. Good job I didn't want to buy a plot of land in the first place.

The whole Laid/Lady business is one thing, but it is my belief that they are perpetuating a fraud when they claim to be doing conservation work.

    Regards

    Chas
