Bit of a joke?
I've been passing on a link to this site to a few friends lately.
A couple have responded by saying they thought the site was really funny, they had a laugh.
For the life of me I cannot see what is humorous about this site. I have replied that sure, we have fun, but also take the matter of kilts fairly seriously.
One such comment came from a kilt wearer!
Go figure.

When they talked about how funny the site was, did they by chance mention your avatar?

Well Graham, there is much more good humor here than the Cafe or Bravehearts in general.

Well they are the ones missing out if they passed it on as funny and kept moving! Oh well...

I think the important thing for us is not to take ourselves too seriously. We do have a laugh here and some of the anecdotes and newspaper articles are funny.
I know folk who think contributing to any message board or being in a chat room with like minded people is strange/sad/geekish and so on. We know differently of course.
Is kiltwearing a 'crime'. Of course not. It's a perfectly natural thing to do. So, we may all be extroverts and in my case slightly eccentric, but basically we're just ordinary guys having a bit of fun.
Now then, Graham. Suppose you had guided your friends to Tom's or Chris's Atrium. How would they have reacted then?

Hank,
Don't take on so. We think what you've done here is great. Apart from demonstrating the skills to set the thing up in the first place, (I wouldn't know where to start!), this is a good, healthy site, frequented by healthy, normal, blokes who just so happen to enjoy wearing a kilt from time to time.
Nothing wrong in that.
I will confess to you this. I would not tell anyone about Tom's Cafe (and even less now the freestylers have taken control). However, I tell EVERYONE about Xmarks... Make of that what you will.

I agree Al, I am proud of my association with this site, and happy to be here.
There is nothing to be ashamed of at all. One person thought the titles (kilted warrior etc) was strange.
But that part of the site IS the fun part. I've built BB's before and had to choose names.
Hank, I was just passing on comments, it is NOT in any way a criticism of the site, I think you're doing a great job.
If it were not for this site I wouldn't be wearing a kilt nearly so much, I've been greatly encouraged.
Yes Al, I wouldn't send anyone to the other sites, except Kiltmen.com.
