Re: "Neville" sweater
You're a very lucky man, Mr. Newsome. And just as I've always said, you look odd in pants.
None the less, the sweater looks absolutely choice on you, and in general. I don't think that non-knitters could really understand just how involved this project is... it's glorious insanity, if you ask me. I took a good look at the mostly finished article at Stone Mountain, but please give Joanie my very highest compliments on the completion of this work!
Absolutely amazing.

Re: "Neville" sweater
Non-knitters may not understand exactly how it comes together, but like the audience at a magic show, we are all the more impressed by not knowing how the trick is done.
Just WOW.

Re: "Neville" sweater
I was really unimpressed by the ending of the series - I had always expected Neville to eventually be revealed as 'the one' and that he would gradually become more actively involved and more significant in the plot up to that revelation.
I suppose that his destruction of the snake and the acknowledgment of his being a worthy wielder of the sword of Godric Gryfindor was a slight nod towards that - but in the end he does get the best jumper, so there is a little justice.
I am on Ravelry - I will try to make contact there for more technical info on the pattern.

Oh - gosh - sorry.
It is so long since the last book came out that I assumed that anyone interested would have read it -

As in reading the books the day they came out?
In our family we always got two books - one for each kid so that there was no fighting over who got to read it first. The entire family has read all the books several times.

Hah- No problemo. Easy come, easy go... that's what I get for being a slowpoke, I suppose.

I always liked Neville, especially from the time Dumbledore acknowledged him for having the courage to stand up to his friends. He always had that unassuming conviction to do what was right not matter the cost to himself.
That said, now I'm very jealous of Matt having a Neville sweater/jumper.

I agree!
Now, what sort of kilt and accessories would go with that Neville sweater?
