    Re: Thoughts for Arlen

    My deepest condolences, Arlen.
Will you be travelling to Scotland for her funeral, or are your resources too limited?
I thank the Lord my mother is still alive, but my wife has lost her mother and her stepmother, and both our fathers have died too.
Grieving is a hard phase to go through, but we must all go through it. Don’t let anyone tell you to snap out of it!
If you are able to attend the funeral, it will help immensely in the way you cope with her death.
But if you are stuck in the US, don’t hesitate to call for help in going through the grieving process.
    Best regards,
    Mike

Again, thank you so much to all of you. this has been an incredibly hard time and the support from those of you with similar pain has been incredible.
Thanks t the kindness of my sister-in-law and my synagogue's benevolent fund I am able to go back for the funeral. I'll be in Glasgow for about 2 weeks as of Sunday morning.

I'm glad you can get back home for the funeral. This is rough....been there, got the t-shirt and it's not comfortable.

    Re: Thoughts for Arlen

Arlen, so sorry for your loss. It's never easy. My parents are still living but my husband lost both his parents very suddenly shortly before we met you and I was very close to them.

I'm so glad you are able to go home for her funeral. Being surrounded by people who knew and loved those we've lost always helps lift some of the grief in exchange for the happy memories. If you need anyone to talk to, I think you still have my number.
