Or, I suppose, you could start insisting that she wear a dress or skirt at all times, so she doesn't look like a schoolboy in pants......that should give her pause.

If all else fails, strap a claymore across your back. That'll deter any comments

I have tears in my eyes from laughing so much! Thanks for all the support and comments!!
Bubba-
I do wear many of the kilt accoutrements such as sporrans, (My wife is constantly harping about all of the sporrans (5) that I've purchased) hose, the kilt belt that I wear sometimes isn't the best, (I'm currently looking for another... any suggestions anyone?) combat boots, hiking boots, doc martins, well you get the point. I find it hard to belive that I look like a "SCHOOLGIRL" with hairy legs and paratrooper boots! :o Unless you count the punk look! LOL! No offence to the punkers Although I certainly wouldn't be mistaken as Arnold (Conan) The Barbarian, I hardly qualify as feminine looking...

Hello Kilted Chef,
Why don't you post a photo. I guarantee that the membership here would be only too pleased to offer their completely objective appraisal of your attire. 8) You can then share the combined perspicacity of the membership here with your lovely wife. (Just so she won't feel left out, we can critique her photo as well. )

Well, I got my kilt belt from www.scottishkilts.net along with a buckle. The belt is 2 1/4 inces wide and the buckle is big enough to anchor a bass boat. Add my homemade fur sporran with 3 gold tassels and a BDU jacket, my combat boots and beret with the Clan badge on it and there ain't no misidentification possible

Well Blu, I intend to post LOTS of pictures as soon as my digital camera is repaired, but that requires $$ that could be spent on another kilt or accessory! Damn thing went on the fritz at the best possible moments! I am beginning to think that machines have minds of their own!

Post a pic of the wife, too. We need to get the complete perspective on your situation in order to offer proper guidance.
