Barb, so excited to see the second Heatherfield kilt. It looks as impeccable as the first. And despite being a shorter length of tartan than the original, it hasn't seemed to affect the overall appearance one bit.

As to the choice of stripes, when I was working on refinements to the design of the tartan, I was fortunate to have the input of a weaver, a historian and a kiltmaker. The kiltmaker happened to be Barb herself. As a result of her feedback, I considered how to make it easier to have several options when it comes to pleating to the stripe. It was, after all, my intention to make this my first to-the-stripe kilt. This second version proves that good advice can go a long way.

Eric, I must apologize for having failed to respond to your inquiries. I don't recall having missed any, but the it is the case that I don't have any to sell. Jamie's kilt was made from the remnant left after Barb made my mine after the one, and as far as I know, only run of the stuff. I gave it to Jamie for his years of friendship and support to me through this site.

I have given some thought to requesting another run of it, but I am also told that the process has changed over at Scotweb.

Regards,
Rex in Cincinnati.
