A small detail, but definitely off from what was specified.

Not sure if it was asked, and I just missed it, but are you thinking pleating to the sett or stripe? That's going to make a fine looking kilt indeed I think

Yet another abominable anomaly in what was already a thing that should not be.

I, personally, wouldn't cry over 1/2 inch discrepancy in the sett size. And, I will also point out, that there may be some minor variation in the sett repeat size over the course of the 128 yard length of the run. It does happen sometimes. And it may also make a difference if the sett repeat was being measured across the warp or the weft.

LoL. It could also be a matter of the maths of adding threads to given elements in proper proportion. Where, in a given sett, it might not work out to an even 8". When Dalgliesh originally calculated it, the sett was close to 7.25", they asked if that was good or if I wanted to go to 8" as was originally specified. I said 8".

I have no plans to file a complaint. As Dale said, it's an anomaly, and, given the subject matter, I am well satisfied that the Great Old Ones have made their will manifest in the maths of the sett.

Wow, what a beautiful tartan..I'm sad I did not involve myself. Lovecrafts place of resting is but a stones throw from were I live and what a fine photo that would be.
I like a nice short parade that ends at a bar.

Well, we already ken that HPL's maths were. . .a wee bit different from ours.

I am most taken with the hint of darker colour in the large green plain-looking squares; at first glance nothing is there, but then you realize... something is lurking within!

The really odd bit about that colour is that it's actually an ashy charcoal green, even though it appears almost purple tinted in the sett. Truly, the "Colour Out of Space".

I may have my box pleat done to that stripe, so it appears almost solid green on the back, with the acid green "flash" in the reveal.
