Just so you know, sometimes eyebrow piercings "push out" like a sliver does in your hand. I had my right eyebrow pierced - professionaly of course, and it ended up pushing up to the surface. Major waste of money, and it kept getting infected, no matter how well I took care of it. I didn't have that problem with other piercings. I ended up taking it out about 6 months later, before it easily ripped out. It all depends on if your body will reject the piercing or not, but I wish someone had told me before I got it done.

Also, don't do your nipples - they end up deformed when you take them out.

Thanx for the info, Rufus. I had heard of that happening with pearcings between the eyes, right above the bridge of the nose, but had not thought about it with the eyebrow. Make sense though. I do appriciate the warning. I'll be sure to check into that some more prior to a commentment.

And as far as the nipples..not me man. Nipples too small and the pain is too big. I do have a friend who has both of her nipples pierced, looks kinda cool on her but not for me. My lovely bride wants to have her belly button pierced when she get all of her weight lost. I think it would be great, of course I say why wait do it now, but she will wait. Anyway got off the subject, but thanx again for the warning.

I just don't understand punching holes in your body to hang decorations. I'm not saying it's bad neccesarily, I just don't understand it.

We'll just chalk it up to me being young and stupid. I got a little carried away, and ended up with 6 piercings, and stretched out ear-lobe holes. Now, I do regret it. I took out all of my piercings a year and a half ago, and had to throw away a few hundred dollars of piercing jewelry - could have paid for a kilt!

Anyways, the piercing thing isn't for me anymore.

I wouldn't be quick to call yourself stupid. We all try different things in the course of life; lots of them leave permanent marks, and not all on the outside, but that's just how we learn/grow/change. Stagnant water's no fun, even if there's no risk it'll drop over a cliff.

Rufus, you mention the stretched out ear lobe holes and I must say I can relate with almost any weird trend out there today except gageing (stretching out the earlobe). Peircings can be removed and only leave a small hole, but after you gage up so big, it doesn't go back as easily. How big did you gage? and did the lobes ever return to a normal size? I won't go any larger than a 14 gage out of fear it go back. Any justification to this fear or is it just me?

I started out with 14 guage, and after a few years of that, I got bored and shoved another pair of 14 guage in each hole. I ended up swapping up to 10 guages in each hole. I really liked the weight/swing of the 10 guages.

Like I said before, I've had the piercings out for over a year now, and the holes have all mostly closed, except for the stretched ones. I could probably still get 14 guages in them, if I wanted to. It also made a lot of scar tissue build up when I stretched them, though I don't know why. So, I'd have to not recommend that, and I didn't even stretch them all that much.

I do agree with you about the guaging. I think anything bigger than a 10 is pretty gross. I once saw a guy in Portland, OR with holes so big he had his fist through it.

So yeah, I'd say that you're justified in those feelings.
