Run in with "Kilt Police"

Sadly, Jock, I think this is a perfect example of American manners (or lack thereof). I don't know why this is, but man Americans tend to like running around telling others what's right or wrong, according to their own particular way of thinking. I've found this to be true in virtually all circles, regardless of the common interest they share (such as hunting, sports, kilts, etc.), and it all classes of people.

We highly cherish the 1st Amendment in this country, unfortuantley some use it as an excuse for rude behaivor.

This old RAF Navigator was a very intersting man and I very much enjoyed talking with him. He flew 37 bombing runs in Germany, 1 to Norway and 2 in Burma, when he was sent to the Pacific Theatre after Germany surrendered.
We shared a lot of drams and I thanked him for his service. I always treasure my talks with fine old Veterans like this one.

I'm glad you otherwise had a good evening, and the opportunity to share an old Veterans memories ... that's worth any small headaches in my book!
