I have not heard of this TV show, although we do have a lot of house make-over programmes here in the UK.
Your description of Howie worries me somewhat. I have NEVER seen him with either a head of hair or a moustache - and I have met with him roughly six times a year for the past five or six years. I cannot think what he might be doing on a Show such as that anyway. I'll probably be speaking with Howie during this coming week, so I'll ask him about that one.
We do have an interior designer, John Amabile, who appears regularly on one of the "house" shows (with Carol Vorderman). He is Scottish and always wears "21st Century Kilts" kilts on the programmes - usually in plain black or camouflage - but, I've never seen him with a moustache either!
