I'm quite new to this forum and it took me a little while to figure this one. On the Index page, click on "View New Posts Since Last Visit". When the list of these appears, click on the small icon adjacent to each topic heading. Make sure you click on "Mark all forums read" on the Index page before leaving.

lol no, just like to clear cookies once in a while, and would like to see only the topics of the day.

Greetings, beverlonian... I've been trying to determine the significance of your avatar relative to your moniker. Do tell... 8)

Thanks for the welcome. People from the town of Beverley are Beverlonians. Beverley is the County Town (i.e. seat of local government) of East Yorkshire. The avatar really has nothing to do with kilts. It is meant to be the White Rose of Yorkshire (goes back to the War Of The Roses between the Houses of York and Lancaster for the English Crown, the Lancashire Rose being Red). The avatar is the logo of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club (who incidentally, although very much English, do have their own tartan) although I agree it doesn't look very much like a rose. Yorkshiremen are noted for being very proud of their heritage and it wasn't until recent years that in order to be eligible to play for the County Cricket Club, you had to be born in Yorkshire. Cricket is a strange game you have to be brought up with which I wouldn't even attempt to explain.

Hi Joe
You're not wrong there, mind. My dad used to play regularly for a local team in Darlington, Co. Durham and got very frustrated with me and my brother when we used to get bored and fall asleep!!
I'm not that much better today, but at least I understand the rules!
