Re: What did you get for Xmas!?

I received a new semi traditional model kilt from USA Kilts and a new pair of red Lewis Hose (I have worn my old pair so often they have worn out!) from the STM from my lovely wife. But far better than these was the used nutcracker my son bought be from a second hand shop. It is a birder with binoculars and he did it on his own with his own money. He saw it and thought it would make me happy. And it did! The thought behind it as much (and) more than the addition to my nutcracker collection.

However the best Christmas gift I got was waking up next to the woman of my dreams. Everything else is just icing on the cake.

    Cheers

Re: What did you get for Xmas!?

My wife and I decided to share a new stove/oven. We both love to cook and the old one was on it's last legs. This is truly a gift that will keep on giving!

I love to read (especially history) and I received several good books but the one I can't wait to get into is: "To the Ends of the Earth: Scotland's Global Diaspora 1750-2010" by T.M. Devine, Smithsonian Books, 2011.

Santa left a bottle of 16 year old Scapa single malt whisky for me. It would be a pleasure to share it with you but I'm afraid that would be too difficult. So I must be content with a toast to you all and here's wishing you all Merry Christmas.

The company of a good friend and his extend family, (wife, daughters, step grandkids, (all, also friends)), for Christmas Eve Breakfast. A good meal for Christmas Eve dinner, (that I cooked myself). Peace and Quiet for Christmas Day itself...not much more wanted, no more needed.
