If it were me, and I were taking only a single jacket, it would be the black argyle. You can dress it up while still having a not overly formal look on other occasions. Of course, you might be the only one kilted, so just be sure you have your sea legs back on incase there is a high sea state!!

I agree. A black Argyle jacket (not tweed) could be worn with a bow tie or regular tie. You would look fine, and would not have to pack two jackets.
