Greetings Gents...
Greetings Gents...
I just found your site through the Braveheart forum, and think it's totally kool!
I'm a kilt wearer from way back, and have always preffered them to trousers of any kind, being Scottish may have something to do with it, but having lived in the U.S. for over 20 years now, I have to say...It's about damn time!
I recently purchased an AmeriKilt, and dig the hell out of it!
It's lighter and easier to care for than wool, and just as comfortable... don't get me wrong, I still much prefer my tailored 16oz. wool to the cotton, but it's like the difference between a tux, and a pair of jeans.
I hope to start a collection of all the various styles of "alternakilt", and with any luck....I'll never wear pants again!
I hope a lot more guys out there will start wearing Kilts.... and being Gaelic is NOT a prerequisite.

Howdy Snow Dog, welcome to our corner of cyberspace. I've been wearing kilts exclusively for around 2 months now and don't feel right in jeans anymore. I bought one kilt but made 5 others and have one in the works.

Hello Snow Dog, Tell us about the reactions you get to kilts there in Oklahoma. I was in Tulsa in 1984 and found the folks there quite friendly. Interesting mix of cultures. I'm trying to imagine how a scottish brogue and a southern drawl sound mixed together.! Or how about Haggis and grits. Anyway, hope you enjoy the group and have some fun. 8)
