Re: First kilt - Utilikilt sizing/adjustability
Might be the case, Tobus. I lost a few pounds recently thanks to a big snow storm and other labor. My 33 Wranglers will also pull off without unfastening. My wife tells me pointedly, "You don't need to loose any weight! " I guess I'll have another beer.

As mentioned, UKs are not adjustable apart from the belt. Another consideration for you is wear height. Some wear UKs with the waist band at jean level others at traditional level. I wear mine higher so had to add a little extra to the waist and adjust the length accordingly.

Re: First kilt - Utilikilt sizing/adjustability
The UK will definitely handle you being a bit under the size. I'm currently a 38 or so, but my 39 still fits fine. I even still wear my 41 without problems, although it does feel looser. Once I get my belt on I don't really notice a difference.
Just definitely wear a belt, which you'd do anyway, right?
Apparently they'll also handle a bit of expansion by leaving the top snaps undone. Again, just use a belt to keep it secure.
