    Re: UK Weather

Winter here in the south of Scotland is usually a mix of heavy snows and hard frosts or milder spells with rain and gales. This winter, so far we seem to have had more of the rain and gales and less of the severe frosts. Tuesday I had to drive a minibus to Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the North of England. Unusually for me I opted to wear trousers rather than a kilt due to the strong winds. Sustained a broken window on the minibus due to the wind lashing the door while I was trying to load luggage. The snow arrived on the way home and it was hard work keeping going straight while the vehicle was sliding on the icy surface and being buffeted by the winds but I made it home safely.
