    Help with Tartan ID

    Can anyone tell me if these are recognized "official" tartans or merely "fashion" tartans? Just curious. Thoughts?





    I'm thinking the red one might be a MacDonald variation? The poor photo quality is distorting the colors a bit. The red in the first picture is more red and less orange. And there's blue AND green in there as well.

    These are both wool trousers I "inherited."

    The first one looks like a hybrid of the Harvey and Harvie tartans:
