2 sons, coming up 12. Twins - but you wouldn't think it to look at them.

Both think dad's a bit mad anyway. They're at the 'easily embarrassed' stage.

One son has worn a kilt once. For the novelty. I've been told to burn all the photos and am under penalty of death not to show them to his friends.

The other son is a bit shy and gets a bit embarrassed when dad ventures out in his kilt. He doesn't complain to me though, but to his mother!

My wife likes it and accepts it and doesn't push her luck cos she's been married to me for 25yrs and knows what I'm like!! 'Complain, darling and I'll wear it even more!!!'

My mum thinks I look great. All mums generally think their sons are great.

On the whole, pretty positive comments all round.

    Al,

Moms usually are supportive. Twins-what a blessing, and heartache, especially at that age.

Al, you are an embarassment to your sons, and I salute you. I've tried to embarass my kids, but they seem to enjoy my peculiar antics so far. Perhaps I need to wait until they're teenagers. How old were your kids when you first introduced them to your kilt?

    Hi philbo

As I've only been kilting a year or so, they were both 10. They try to ignore dad when he has one of his 'crazy moments'. I'm sure they think I'm a bit gaga.

    Al

    Maybe I am.
