You have taken a great step into the world of kiltdom, and let me tell you, it is a wonderful world. You will find a wealth of information here, and even have a few laughs.

It sounds as if your wife is accepting, and even volunteering to make a kilt, she must me a wonderful woman.

I would like to offer some advice on material and the like, but I do not have the experience as so many of these other guys do, so I will let them offer the knowledge that I lack.

When you get your kilt made, let us know some of the stories that you have encountered, but in the meantime, advice is freely and oh so plentiful here.
