Question R'Lyeh Sett - Double or Single Width?

Just curious. A note accompanied my cloth saying they did not have enough to fulfill the order so they wove mine 29" single width instead of 54" double width.

I was just curious how many others received single width?

And since people seem to be counting, 7 slubs in 1 yard!

Well this is the first I've heard of it...

I'll be very interested to hear if there were any others as well. Can you take a pic of your material in good lighting?

Pics are at home, I'll try to add tonight.

Selvedge on both edges but they put a sticky on one edge saying "this is the good edge".

You'll note that on the other edge you will find a number of "floats" where the yarn was carried over to the next instance of that color. These floats will be absent on the "good edge" so that's the edge you'll want to use for the bottom of the kilt.

Matt, thanks for that info. I had no idea what to look for that would make one edge different. Now I'll have to see if I can actually find those.

Scott, This is the most color-correct (a very subjective choice) picture I was able to get while experimenting with pleating options:

Thanks for this. I just wanted to make sure that they used the properly dyed thread. When I heard that they'd "run out" I was hoping that they didn't substitute a stock colour for one of our custom ones. But everything looks correct to me.
