Whoa there, Hoss, pull back on those reins. Remember you've got somebody else's ticker taking all that stimulation.

I also like Brooks Brothers (or would if they made my size), but at the Walmart price. That is the key.

"Where you stand dictates what you see."
Couldn't have said it any better.
There's a theme in this thread, though that occurs on a regular basis on this board....that is.... "I buy quality clothing, because I know it will last me my entire lifetime".
That has always bothered me, because there is no way on this green earth I could fit into anything I bought 10 years ago, even five years ago except for my shoes and socks.
Poll coming. This may be very interesting.

Re: I HATE sending money on clothes
I'm cheap....very cheap.
I will rarely buy anything at full retail price and I shop for most of my clothes at thrift shops. I do take great delight in finding quality used clothing at a small cost.
I will buy new clothing when I can find it on sale, but it has to be of a timeless or classic design that will not go out of style.
The only area I won't skimp is on footwear. I will try to find a sale, but will pay full price if I need to. Like my clothes however, I won't buy shoes that are "in" at the moment. (think narrow, square toe shoes) I buy classic styles (blundstone boots, brogue shoes, ect.) that don't go out of style.
I'm even cheaper when it comes to vehicles. I will never, ever buy a new car and presently drive a 1989 ford f150. I see them as nothing more than appliances.
The only area in which I'm not cheap is with my family. My wife likes to remark that while I hate the idea of spending more than $5 on a shirt for myself, I wouldn't think twice of spending $100 on a top for her, if she fancied it.
I'm kinda old fashioned in the belief that if you can't pay cash for something, you can't afford it. While I'm not noramlly prone to bouts of nostalgia, I do lament the passing of the belief that people and more importantly, governments, should earn their money before they spend it.

Re: I HATE sending money on clothes
Well, I don't buy my kilts cash. My expert kiltmaker lets me pay half up front and the rest when my new kilt is ready to post. This helps me "afford" them.
For "normal" clothes I buy the best that I can afford and therefore very rarely buy clothes (other than to complete my Scottish Highland wardrobe).

I'm a shopaholic. I can't even comprehend this post.![Razz](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)
I'm a runner, but I get the "runners high" shopping...
We spend money on our passions. I HATE spa's and nails stuff, but my friends will go and drop $$$'s on that "Experience". (I wait for them in the bar or gift shop. )
BUT, I do love clothes and jewelry. My grandmother owned a fabric store, my mother sewed, both my parents liked to clothes shop, my degree is in costume design (yes that's a major). It's in my blood. ;)
When we go on trips, I commemorate the "experience" with a piece of clothing or necklace. Recently I went wine tasting with my girlfriends. I only bought 3 botles of wine (and yes, I'm a wine drinker, but I'm not really a wine buyer) all from the Scotsmen's winery though. LOL. Anywho, I bought 2 shirts, a dress for GGGP jr. and a necklace instead.
