I just bought a wool Irish Saffron from Stillwater Kilts and noticed it was a little snug. I decided to keep it anyway since I plan on wearing only for more dressy occasions. The question I have is, are Stillwater Kilts sized on the small size? If I buy an economy or standard acrylic would I need to size up or will they "break in" to my regular size(36)?
Thought I wore a 36 but after getting my SWK casual I realized it to be a little snug and in reality a 38 fits best. I was mistakenly going by my jeans waist and wasnt till I researched further and had a hand made kilt made I wear a 38 better. Make sure to measure at your navel as that is your kilt waist. Most vendor web sites give you instructions on measuring both waist and length. Welcome to kilt wearing and XMTS from Mid Missouri.
