Close enough, Mark, and very classy too.

Here is the same one I posted for father and son, but you can see my wife in her kilted skirt and sash. She also occasionally wears the "flower" up over her right shoulder and the rest of the sash hanging down the back.

My wife with a rosette and daughter with the Miss America sash.
(of course I think my daughter could be Miss America so that helps)

    Fr. Bill,

Don't overlook the possibities of silk tartan, as a sash, shawl, or stole. If yours is a stock tartan in silk, it can be surprisingly affordable.

A silk-lined woolen stole is another appealing idea. All can be had from Scotweb or your favourite local purveyor.

I've posted these elsewhere. Michele loves cameos, and often pins one on her sash.

Thanks to all for your suggestions and advice; as always here, I've learned!

Now the next step I think, is likely a shawl as has been suggested, and we go from there!

And I dearly love that. How long a sash would that be?

I made mine, it is silk, three yards long and a yard wide. It's my Buchanan.
