Rhino,
I am a single guy, and really do not mind the attention, however at times it gets in the way of the Guinness.

Women here too. This has got to be one of best kept secrets on the planet. Honestly, I had not heard a word about this when I bought my first kilt and was somewhat taken by surprise at the attention I got... and this was without the benefit of any support from internet forums. Most guys I talk to about it don't believe it. Some have changed thier minds after seeing it with their own eyes. One fellow recently commented that he wished he'd been born scottish although I assured him that this was not a prerequisite

I can't honestly say that women here rave over kilts, i don't get that many comments, a few. Perhaps the thinking is different here.

Graham,
Maybe the ladies are just more polite in your neck of the woods. I have noticed at some places they are more polite than at others. I really do not like the kilt lifts, so I do try to avoid those places, but they still happen.

Even the ladies who say they don't like men in kilts are very curious about what motivates you to wear them, what's under them, etc...
