The reason I did the paper stickers is b/c it is the same way Shepard Fairey started the Obey Giant movment.

I have never used my printer on vinyl or plastic. Has anyone else experience with this method? I think Graham may do some vinyl stickers for us once we clear it up with some other folks...maybe.

    Maybe...

I was just thinking of the mess some of the laser-printed paper stickers have made on my Jeep.

    I found this:

Which might or might not work...

    Any experience with such products?

These paper stickers are not for vehicles though. I will be adding a new gallery when I get back that shows how to use these stickers....I hope you can stand the suspense!

    Ham,

You need Microsoft Word for it to download to, anf it takes a while to download. Also if you have a firewall installed, it may block it from downloading.

    Hope that helps.

    Rob
Thanks for that Rob. I know I didn't have 'Word' on my old computer, but I was told that this new one (Xmas '03) did have it. However, all is well (I think) because when I logged off the other evening, there was a window, under all the other stuff, showing the nine large "X"s with the website address.
Why it appeared under everything else instead of on top, I have no idea!!

Hank, I fear I have an annoying criticism to make regarding these labels, however. I hope you'll not be offended, but shouldn't the text read "Kilts are not costumes" or "The kilt is not a costume", rather than "Kilts are not a costume"? Perhaps I am being pedantic here, but we seem to have a mix of singular and plural! Forgive me - please!

    Take care,
    Ham.
(PS: my appearances here will be sporadic (if at all) for a week. I am undergoing the change over to Broadband and, after three visits and two telephone calls from the British Telecom engineers, it has been announced that I need to have my garden dug up and a trench excavated for new cabling - tucked inside piping - to be laid from the road to the outer wall of my house. Before that can be done, permission has to be sought of the local Council for the pavement and grass verges to be excavated as well! In the meantime, the dedicated line to my computer has been disconnected and I am paying by the minute for the internet connection!! Who said conversion to Broadband was a 'doddle'?)

Adhesive vinyl is the way to go for exterior stickers, such as on a car. There are various quality vinyls, some will last many years outside, others just a few months.

The process I use is computer-cut vinyl, one layer on another, it's hand done so only suitable for short runs (1-say 30 or 40).

For larger runs either screen printing or digital printing is the way to go.

Graham, what would it cost for your Real Men Wear Kilts design as a bumper sticker? You got me thinking.
