    Unsightly bulge

Aside from losing weight (just the usual middle-age belly) is there any way to adjust my sporran height, or chain length so that it doesn't emphasize the v-joint & 'roo pouch between my torso & thighs? The chain seems to rest there.

Or is this a buckle adjustment on the kilt itself?

I suppose playing the pipes isn't as aerobic as it sure seemed when I started!

Try sporran hangers that attach to your belt. A sporran chain/strap is not the best option for Gentlemen of Even Moderate Substance.

I have the same problem -Some times you can not even see my Chain for
    my sporran .

I just put a bigger chain on so at least it could be seen .

Unfortunately I have exactly the same problem. I find it moderately better with a leather sporran strap rather than a chain. I think the stiffness of the strap kind of keeps it from falling into the new valleys that appear on either side of the balooning belly. I have looked at the hangers but I so rarely wear a kilt belt.

    1. Use a strap instead of a chain.
    2. Wear the sporran higher.

Pfft, I have gotten to the point where I do what I can, but at some point I just flaunt it! There is only so much a feller can do.

This is why I hang my sporrans from my kilt belt Rob Roy style [think Liam Neeson] like in the movie. For me, so far, this is the better option.

*** on the leather strap and worm tighter and higher. I also use sporran hangers at times but then they just pull my kilt belt(and sometimes my kilt) down to the same spot. Lost a few pounds recently which has also helped, although now my kilts fit looser. Can't win for losin'.

I use a leather sporran strap and hook it on top of the buckles. It changes the angle of the strap and lessens the pouchy look.
