YOUR tartan
Just seeing what members consider their tartan to be.
NO real rules on this. Whatever tartan is your favorite. It does not have to be your clan, the branch of service you were in, or a real tartan. It could be a fashion tartan or no named plaid pattern. Even if you don't own a kilt in it, sound off in it's praises anyway!
You don't have to include pics, but no one will complain if you do!
I have a Sterling semi trad from USAK on the way, which I'm sure I'll love.
My favorite is probably Isle of Skye. The colors are amazing!

Re: YOUR tartan
Sinclair. My mother's ancestors lived in Caithness and the Orkneys, and it's pretty inconceivable that somewhere in the line one of them didn't marry into the clan. I prefer the Hunting S. John at Keltoi's working up a box pleat in it for me. I wear clergy when I'm about church business and some other times as well.

Re: YOUR tartan
I have Buchanan and Aberdeen District, and the Welsh Ellis tartan on my dad's side. Of those, I love the Buchanan. As I become more familiar with others, I may add to my "favorites", but my family ties will always top the list.

Re: YOUR tartan
Three way tie between my Forrester Modern clan tartan, Isle of Skye, and my Dutch Friendship tartan kilts. All different yet special in their own way for their own reasons.

"My" tartan - Shepherd check (see the avatar/icon). Although I currently just have the black/white check kilt, the brown/white is starting to be in the planning stages.

Re: YOUR tartan
Well the Czech National is mine but it will be a long while before I can pay for a custom weave. Two on my short list would be Isle of Skye and Maple Leaf.

If I have A tartan, it's the one shared by my comrades in intergalactic horror.

I would have to hold a small admiration to the one I designed http://www.tartansauthority.com/tart...hawes-personal

After that it would have to be the Campbell of Argyll that rates as a personal favourite.
