Making a Sgian dubh handle

Hi, I have a cheap Sgian dubh which has lost it's stone and has rather cheap looking decoration (plasic or some such) I won't wear it. I was wondering about making a better handle and sheath for it.So it is wearable again. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

I don't know if you have them easily available to you, but the crown section of a piece of deer's antler makes a very attractive handle which is relatively easy to attach to a knife blade with minimal tools.
I will be more than happy to get into more details later if you wish.

I know lots of "Hunt'en and shoot'en types here in Norway. So I could get hold of the materials. A tutorial would be fantastic
