    I think some folks could pull it off without too much trouble. Reminds me a bit of Allen Cummings tatan kilt suit.

    The prices arent too bad (especially when you deduct 20% vat) considering you'd be getting made to measure... He has some nice retro patterns too... Maybe someday... Lol

    While on rhe subject of tweed suits though, anyone had any dealings with http://www.harristweedshop.com/ (scotch corner?)

    I thought the same thing! I like it, though I'd probably wear the vest as a separate with a more solid outfit; and the jacket and trousers as a two piece suit. It's bold, but like you say, some people could pull it off.

    I've always admired tartan suits. My father wore one of MacLean hunting tartan. The Duke of Windsor had at least two:

    I seem to recall from the DoW auction catalogue that the second suit was originally made for George V, and was later cut down for his son, the future Duke of Windsor.

    Dashing as these are, I think I'll continue to limit my sartorial extravagances to lining my dinner jackets in Macmillan Hunting tartan!
