FOR SALE: One of a kind kilt hose
So my wife is experimenting with some new designs for her hand knit cuffs, and made this pair from a pattern in the Gainford book. It's a two-color Celtic knot design.
She didn't really enjoy working this particular pattern, so it's not one that we are likely to add to our regular offerings. So this likely to be a one of a kind pair of kilt hose!
The sock is a House of Cheviot navy blue sock, size Medium (US shoe 8.5 - 10.5), made from the same Merino wool blend as their Lewis hose, with reinforced foot area. Machine washable in cool water, gentle cycle. (Allow to air dry).
The tops are 100% super wash wool, same care instructions.
Here are the hose on both a green-based and red-based tartan, so you can see how the design looks paired with each, and a close up of the hand knit cuffs.
Cost is $95. PM or email me if interested and I can send a PayPal invoice. Thanks!

Matt: Love the color combination and that two-color Celtic knot! They won't fit me, but I know who they will fit perfectly, and then I can always admire them from a distance.
PMs sent.
John
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Yes, those are beautiful (but also weren't my size) and not surprised they sold so quickly. Where did you find the pattern for the tops? Really nice but evidently tedious?

Matt mentioned the design came from the Gainford book, here's an Amazon LINK to it.

Re: FOR SALE: One of a kind kilt hose
I know I'm chiming in late, but I did see these the other day when they went up. The color combination looks really nice with the design, I think. Though, had they been in my size, I'd've probably been ordering some sort of "American" tartan kilt to go along with...so, in the long run, good thing I have big feet, I guess!
Congratulations to the purchaser and lucky recipient!
