Remembering a kilted friend.
Victor Hutchings, the gentleman at the far left of this picture, died today at the age of 90. He was our friend, our Kilt Night guru, a Royal Navy veteran of WWII and a great guy. Our thoughts are with his family.

Bob C.
Was Victor a member of this forum. If so I would like to put our "In Rememberance" title under his name.

He was not, Steve. He was a friend of a few of us who are members here.

I'm sorry for your loss. A wonderful picture by which to remember him.

Soon all those from Victor's generation will be gone, so will those precious memories, experience and wisdom accrued from some tough times, and the world will be a poorer place because of that, I am so sorry for your loss.

Victor will be sorely missed! I was over to the Hutchings house this afternoon, and his lovely wife Anne and son Ken are doing okay, given the sad circumstances.
Victor went easy in his sleep, and it's more of an occasion for tearful smiles and laughter, and wonderful stories of the ol' veteran (he was torpedoed three times during the War, and participated on the D-Day landings, amongst other adventures!).
Ken will now take up his father's kilt, and proudly wear it at future kilted gatherings - which is quite cool...!
