Pleater, have you tried a surgical scrub brush? Not sure how deep the "peach fuzz" is on your black kilt. Anyway, these are the brushes that surgeons use when scrubbing their arms, etc. before surgery. The bristles are very soft. These brushes are also used to scrub newborns. So, try the OR or neo-natal unit. I'd try brusing the kilt while it's still wet (tissue should be weaker and maybe break more readily). Good luck.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

It's paper. Tissue paper. Kleenex fall apart when you sneeze, can't wipe up more than 1cc of water type paper.

Wash it again or soak it, gently agitating until the paper falls apart.

I have to agree with Dixiecat , I've had similar situations , the more you gently expose the fabric to water , the more the tissue paper will eventually fall apart and release , it may take a few soakings .

Forgot to mention , while the fabric is submersed and the tissue falls apart and is floating around , you will want to strain it away from the water . I used a piece of cheesecloth dipped in from one side down close to the fabric them across and up .

Yes I know , it sounds like I'm trying to be some kind of expert , but I'm not ! Just a guy that has srcewed up laundry before and tried to find creative ways to correct my mistakes !

    Best Regards ,

    Mike
