This would have to be "my" tartan. Tara would be the best choice since I am both Irish and MacLean.

My first kilt was in Kerr Modern as that is my clan. I have since added a SWK in the Black Watch that I wear quite a bit and also a SWK in Black Stewart that I wear for pub crawling. I also have a USAK in the U.S. Army tartan to represent my military service. I would like to add a USAK in Law Enforcement Memorial and kilts in the Callifornia tartan because that's where I live and the Isle of Skye just because I like the tartan. When I can afford to I might get a kilt in the XMTS tartan.

My maternal Grandfather was a Shepherd. I'd have to agree with your favorite!! Also see my avatar.

My tartan is also the Ulster, as I'm from Derry. I do have a Irish national tartan which I wear, and I've been thinking of making an x-kilt in the University of Edinburgh tartan.

I really don't know what I'd do with 2.5 yards. Especially to justify the price.

    RUSSELL...
This is my Clan tartan be it Ancient or Modern I have kilts in both. I also hold a close allegience to MacKenzie in respect of my Great Grandfather who served during the Indian Mutiny with the 78th Highlanders (Seaforths).
