I wish I had an answer. Her mother from Scotland thinks it's great that I wear the kilt even though I'm about 5 generations removed from my Scottish ancestors. Guess it to each their own. However, when I showed her one of the Camo Kilts I made she was impressed that I could sew that well.
Once while talking about kilt she said that if anything ever happened to her I had better not wear a kilt to her funeral. I told her not only would I wear the kilt but I'd have to 'braveheart' her just to get even...her only comment was "You probably would!" My reply was "Your damn straight I would!"
This is one of those things in a friendship you don't try to understand, you just accept.
