Given the comments I received at church, I think the congregation was accepting of it, too. ;) We do, however, agree, that a nice Braemar or Argyle will work well.
I'm sure people appreciated your efforts to look good on such a special day.
Out of curiosity, what did the non-kilted men of your congregation wear to this Easter service?
