As you can see it on the picture below, it's possible to make a heap of things while wearing a fly-plaid...
Bidule, I like how you have plenty of bottles to work with until you get it just right.

Well how do you get to carnegie hall?

Practice - lots of practice! Regards Chas

I would like to see how Chas does it step by step. Or in other words explain it to me as if I am a sixth grader and maybe then I will get it straight.

[ Is this photo looking back through a mirror? From what I understand (others chime in if I'm mistaken), the plaid is worn on the left shoulder.

how do I put on a fly plaid? 1) Catch the fly. 2) Check to see if the fly's plaid will match your kilt. 3) Ask fly for help. The broach does not have to be very heavy to counter balance the plaid. Since the plaid is passed under the shoulder strap there will be friction from the strap to help hold the plaid in place. Consider using one of the heavy duty rare earth magnets instead of pinning through your jacket. If the broach is ferrous place the magnet inside the jacket and place broach on top on the outside of jacket. If the broach is not ferrous place a second magnet within the folds of the plaid and place over the magnet inside the jacket.
